Made to fasten thin gauge metals to each other and also to fasten metal to wood, plastic and many other materials. Requires a pilot hole to be pre-drilled in most metals. Used commonly in Aluminum & PVC window & door construction and installations.
Provides greater ‘grip’ when driving. Avoids the problem of the head ‘reaming out’ as is common with phillips head screws.
